According to multiple outlets, Lewis Hamilton and Serena Williams are considering teaming up to purchase Chelsea Football Club from Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich.
"What's the big deal?" you ask. "Chelsea has great fans all over the world."
Well, Serena Williams and Lewis Hamilton are both known for their athletic prowess. Serena is the greatest tennis player to ever live and Lewis Hamilton has won 6 F1 world championships in the last 6 years. In case you didn’t already know, F1 racing is a sport where people drive cars at 200 mph around a track for 2 hours straight. No big deal.
Maybe you also know that Chelsea Football Club, which plays in the English Premier League, has only been worth $2 billion since Abramovich bought it in 2003. It hasn’t exactly been an amazing investment for him either as he took out hundreds of millions of dollars of loans to buy players like Fernando Torres and Tiemoue Bakayoko (both were complete busts if you care to look up the stats).
